Overall Purpose of the Job:

The primary output for this role will be provision of safety engineering expertise to deliver defined artefacts in support of projects to our clients. Artefact production will cover the whole range of Safety Management System (SMS) documentation for Land Systems platforms, and the applicant should possess analytical skills to examine evidence to support a safety argument. Ability in the use of safety engineering tools and techniques together with excellent report writing skills is essential for the delivery of output.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide solutions to problems that are defensible, auditable and which will meet customers' expectations and needs

- Provide support to time estimates for inputs to bids

- Support effective technical networks with Land Systems customers.

- Provide solution options for discussion and agreement with your supervisor and PMs.

- Delivering solutions for review and approval by your customer and supervisor.

- Understand and work within the Military regulatory authorities policy boundaries, offering advice and guidance to other business areas and customers alike.

- Support the development of new and nurture existing business relationships both internally and externally.

- Support specific tasks. This may include a requirement to supervise more junior team members and review their output against the schedule.Skills and Experience Required:- Must have a good understanding of how Land Systems are designed and operated- Be familiar with Land Systems standards such as JSP454, DSA01.LSSR - Knowledge and experience in working with the regulatory organisations - Engineering or safety related degree would be desirable- Experience working closely with the MOD is desirable If you think this role is right for you, great!
