Senior Full Stack Developer (JavaScript, Node.js)

Salary £35k - £45k

The Role

Working in a busy development team, your role will be to cover the full stack of development work with a particular leaning and emphasis towards front end development, but still covering back end development duties too. You will need to be client focused and understand the importance of ensuring products work effectively. You will be part of a team of like-minded, passionate and high performing developers who strive to innovate and create amazing sites, services and applications that users and viewers will love.

Responsibilities

Development

*Writing, reviewing and testing code to a high professional standard

*Architecting, planning and implementing project infrastructure and technical approach

*Deconstructing, analysing and understanding users' requirements

*Reviewing and constructively feeding back on others' work, and taking on-board feedback

*documenting your work, within code comments and in external documentation

Skills and experience

Essential

A range of well-developed skills across core development disciplines:

*Expert front-end markup & styling

*JavaScript including frameworks, such as React etc.

*Server side scripting, such as

*Automating workflows such as Bitbucket pipelines / Gulp / ES6 / Babel / Webpack / SCSS).

*AWS

*Databases (a mix of SQL & NoSQL)

*Architecting applications to be highly efficient, reliable, and resilient under load

*Unit Testing

*Security best practice and techniques

*Version control (Git)

*Demonstrable track record of developing and contributing to concept, design and strategy in projects across varied work types and scales.

Desirable

*Node.js

*Drupal

*PHP (Symfony, Laravel)

*Other back-end technologies

*Experience with automated testing with CI / CD

*High standards of accessibility

*Interest or experience in other technologies eg AI, AR, VR, native apps
