Data Analyst Specialist / Database Application Implementation Consultant who has Advanced Microsoft Excel and T-SQL scripting skills with experience loading / migrating data from CSV, XML and Tagged Files into SQL Server databases is required for a well-established and successful Software Company based in Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands.
This is an exciting role where each day will bring new challenges, allowing you to put your skills to the test. This is predominately an office-based role and you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data migration / software implementation projects dealing directly with clients.
SALARY: £27,000 - £33,000 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Analyst Specialist / Database Application Implementation Consultant who has Advanced Microsoft Excel and T-SQL scripting skills with experience loading / migrating data from CSV, XML and Tagged Files into SQL Server databases.
Working as the Data Analyst Specialist / Database Application Implementation Consultant you will undertake post-sales implementations of the client's application software. This will involve converting and migrating data into a Microsoft SQL Server Database and configuring the database ready for the customer to use.
As the Data Analyst Specialist / Database Application Implementation Consultant, you will also be responsible for User Training to ensure the clients staff can use and understand the functionality of the software.
Your responsibilities will also involve building strong relationships with customers and providing first class support via the Help Desk Service alongside your colleagues.
This role offers a lot of variety and client interaction and would suit a candidate who enjoys consulting with customers, providing advice on application software and overseeing projects throughout the full lifecycle.

DUTIES
This is a customer facing role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a technical knowledge and understanding to implement a flexible database application, within a project, for a client organisation. Following a sale to a new customer you will be responsible for confirming the requirements of the client and implementing all aspects of the solution to create a happy customer and to maintain that relationship over time.
Your duties and responsibilities as the Data Analyst Specialist / Database Application Implementation Consultant:
Data migration from CSV and XML and tagged files
Training users in the web application software
Managing all project communications & documentation
Writing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
Set up of new database instances in SQL Server; controlling the server environment; using tools and scripts to deploy the application; apply HTML5 and CSS
Although predominately office based, training, consulting or implementation can occasionally be required on a client site and this can be anywhere in the UK or abroad so flexibility to travel when required is essential
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a project manager / implementation role
Experience of writing SQL scripts
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience handling large datasets with the ability to analyse and manipulate XML data using XSLT
Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server
HTML & CSS skills are essential
XSLT scripting experience desirable
Excellent attention to detail
Problem solving skills
Be self-managing
Have a "Can Do" attitude
The flexibility to travel within the UK and abroad when required
