Principal Transport PlannerBristol£35,000 - 65,000 + Pension + Progression + holidayExcellent opportunity for a Transport Planner to join an ambitious growing company where you will be offered an autonomous role with further opportunities to progress.This company have been established for over 10 years, they provide infrastructure planning/ engineering, flood risk management and transport advice to the land development and property sector.As a company they pride themselves on the varied development experience of their staff who are able to offer a wide range of services, drawing upon their extensive and varied expertise when working on schemes within multi-disciplinary project teamsIn this role you will assist in the management and mentoring of the transport planning team, supervising and reviewing technical work, Writing technical reports and Preparing fee proposals and securing new commissions as well as attending consultation events.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 year's experience as a transport planner, be educated to at degree level in Civil Engineering or Geography and may also hold qualification to Masters Level in Transport Planning.This is a great role for a transport planner to join growing consultancy that will give you the opportunity to grow and to develop further.The role:*Assist in the management and mentoring of the transport planning team

*Be an excellent representative of the client at meetings

*Support Marketing and promotion of the discipline

*Supervising and reviewing technical work

*Client liaison and negotiation with Local Authority Highway Officers

*Writing technical reports

*Preparing fee proposals and securing new commissions as well as attending consultation events.

The person:*Candidates should be educated to at degree level in Civil Engineering or Geography and may also hold qualification to Masters level in Transport Planning, although this is not essential.

*You will be professionally qualified (CEng or TPP) and hold MCIHT. - They are open to look at candidates who may be working towards.

*The successful candidate will have significant professional experience predominately working in the Private Sector in Development Planning.

*You will have experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments/Statements and Travel Plans, access appraisal, traffic modelling, design of junctions and traffic management / calming schemes.
