The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental public body created to clean up the UK's earliest nuclear safety sites safely, securely and cost-effectively, with care for people and the environment.
The work to clean up the UK's nuclear legacy is the largest, most important environmental restoration project in Europe.
The NDA is undergoing a change in the way it is organised. The creation of ‘One NDA' will transform the management of its businesses - working together to find more effective and efficient approaches to nuclear clean-up and decommissioning on behalf of the tax-payer.
There are around 16,000 people who help deliver NDA's mission and they make up one of the most advanced nuclear workforces in the world. One NDA plans to capitalise on this wealth of experience and talent, harnessing the opportunities that come from the scale and breadth of the group.
Reporting to the Group CTO, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and integration of NDA's complete information resources, including infrastructure, applications, and data. You will also work across the NDA to understand and shape the business strategy, develop a vision and roadmap for the delivery of IT Services and identify potential opportunities as well as technology innovations to enhance the ever-changing business needs of the organisation.

Help create a strategic alignment vision for the company's IT systems and services.
Promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow.
Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
Work with Solutions Architect(s) and Business Analysts to sponsor their designs and provide a consensus-based solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronisation with ever changing business needs.
Working with Information Governance and Cyber teams on risk management of data, information and IT assets.
Direct involvement in the development and governance of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
Troubleshoot complex and intermittent problems to tight time-frames whilst under pressure.
Assist the Programme & Transformation team in compiling full catalogue of system/data/asset owners, supporting Information Governance team forward programme of critical work.
The NDA is very keen to discuss this opportunity with individuals who have significant experience in an Enterprise Architect role in a major public or private sector organisation.
The NDA values the unique differences that each of our colleagues bring to work every day and is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels respected, included and able to perform at their best.
