Overall the IT Director will be responsible for the operation and management of the complete organisation. The primary focus will be on creating and running a well-functioning IT platform across geographical and organizational borders which will support the business with the IT infrastructure, systems, and services required to operate in an optimal way.Immediate TargetsStabilize and improve the IT services supporting the daily business of the Company.Development of an IT strategy for 2020 and onwardsAnalyse and provide advice to the Management regarding initiatives and developments required to ensure that the IT landscape remains intact and optimalKey responsibilitiesResponsible for all IT including budgetDay-to-day management of the IT organizationEnsure optimal staffing and organisation of ITEnsure the optimal IT landscape - infrastructure, systems/software, and proceduresOptimal IT operation and functionality 24/7 - 365 days.Structure/prioritize projects/tasks portfolioOverall planning and management of IT projects in the various global locations, focusing on budget, time and scopeDevelop an IT strategyDevelop an IT roadmap for 2020 and beyondEnsure proper IT supplier management and cooperationSuccessful candidates have an engineering or an IT-technical background:A minimum of 6-8 years' experience as responsible for a similar IT organisation in a similar organisation with similar complexityGood experience from establishing and maintaining of an efficient IT infrastructure, systems and procedures.Good business understanding and ability to communicate with the businessGood IT Project Management skills and experience.Experience from an international manufacturing company with production in several locations globally will be an advantageA robust and visible manager with good people management experience including team building, strategic thinking, and making sure that things get doneGood cross-cultural understanding and ability to bridge between culturesStrong communication skills and good empathyFluent English at negotiation level, written as well as spoken.
