EllisKnight are partnered with a fantastic global business and an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Java Developer to join them on a 6-month contract to help them migrate their Data Centre and moving applications, based in their European Head Office in Reading, Berkshire.

Essential Skills - should be able to demonstrate the following:5+ years of commercial experience with Java web programming.Practical experience of:Java Application Frameworks such as Spring or Java EE.Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)Web- based user interface technology such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CSS Pre-processing (e.g. LESS or SCSS).Analysing customer requirements and suggesting creative solutions to business problems.Successfully and clearly communicating with software stakeholders in face to face meetings.Source version control used within a team (ideally with Git).Aptitude for managing a development team with mixed backgrounds and skillsets.Effective operational proficiency with the English Language (Level C1 or better of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).Desirable: Experience with the following technology and practices:Agile development processesTomcat Application ServerOracle DatabaseWe look forward to hearing from you.
