E-Serve is the delivery arm of Ofgem, the regulator of Britain's gas and electricity markets and is helping to shape the future of the energy market - delivering better energy efficiency through renewable energy sources, and protecting the interests of energy consumers. If you choose to be part of our team (based in London and Glasgow) you can expect plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience, with the professional support you need to reach your full potential.
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Product Manager/Product Owner who is skilled in agile development methods. You'll be part of E-Serve's Change Hub, which will place you at the centre of a diverse range of change and improvement programmes. You'll act as the key interface between the business and IT developers, interpreting user needs, helping to determine the best solutions and leading user acceptance testing. You'll be part of a highly collaborative and supportive team that adopts a flexible resourcing model according to the demands of the business so it's a role with considerable scope to diversify your experience and skills, in a high profile area of the organisation. You'll be empowered to make decisions and enabled to add real value to the projects that you work on.
It's important that you are skilled in process mapping and that you can accurately interpret business needs. You'll need to be a seasoned product manager, experienced in managing competing expectations and working with colleagues at all levels within your organisation. The ability to adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to managing different priorities, supported by excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be of real value. It's likely that you'll be degree qualified or that you can demonstrate equivalent expertise through practical experience in your career to date.
Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:
Up to 30 days' annual leave
Excellent training and development opportunities
The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
Flexible working hours and family friendly policies
Interest free season ticket loan
Rental deposit scheme
Perkbox (staff discount scheme)
Employee Wellbeing Programme.
Closing date: 10 February 2020
