A leading Bank are to hire a Java Developer on a PAYE contact.Paying £533 per day PAYE.6 MONTHS duration then extension.Summary of RoleThis role will focus on the development / design / enhancement and architecting of the Data Framework project within Capital Markets IT.The candidate will take a strong development role in the Data Framework team. This provides a central data store for all the Front Office Orders, RFQs, Transactions and Collateral information. The Data Framework also provides Market Data sourcing, Data distribution, client, instrument and referential data and is driven by an electronic Data Dictionary application : Collibra.To meet the expanded requirements of the MADMAR and SFTR regulations the project work will focus on the integration of new Trade, Referential and Market data feeds and the distribution of Data as a Service. Projects will include delivery for new Regulatory needs, creating and enhancing Advanced APIs and the need for business rules delivered as MicroServices.The project has built and will extend and enhance the Front Office Capital Markets big data technology stack / services. The platform will ultimately be used for a wide range of Pre and Post trade business critical functionality beyond the initial regulatory MIFID2 features.Key ResponsibilitiesKey Developer Skillset :- Extensive Java 8 programming skills- Strong practical experience in big data and scalable architectures.- Strong experience of delivering services with REST API web services- Experience with Kafka and SQL Server.- Agile development / Test Driven delivery / DevOps practice. Management and reportingBased in London the role will report functionally into the Director - Data Framework project.
