Public Key Infrastructure SME Engineer

Public Key Infrastructure SME Engineer is required by a global organisation in their Farnborough office.

The Public Key Infrastructure SME Engineer will manage all sites which have Public Key Infrastructure environments provisioned and effectively monitor, manage and develop the company's PKI infrastructure to ensure a high level of information security is maintained. As a PKI SME Engineer, you will be responsible for the Public Key Infrastructure maintaining security integrity, managing private keys, service maintenance, support and deliver to required security levels. You will also investigate future improvements in line with industry best practice.

Essential Skills for the Public Key Infrastructure SME Engineer:Hold or be eligible for SC clearanceLevel 6 qualification in Cyber Security1 year in a Public Key Infrastructure SME/Engineer roleProven track record of working at technical interview levelGood knowledge of PKI concepts, patterns and practicesGood knowledge of security issues in common corporate environments.Ability to work effectively across complex matrix organisation structures.Strong communications, relationship building and influencing skillsExcellent people management skills, with ability to communicate at all levelsWillingness for 10% travel (including some time away from home)Be able to keep pace and adapt to changing and emerging technologiesExperience with certificate-enabled applications, such as 802.1x, SSL/TLS authentication, EFS. Code Signing

Desirable Skills for the Public Key Infrastructure SME Engineer:Knowledge of OpenSSL and administering certificates for Linux-based systemsKnowledge of Hardware Security Modules and Private Key protectionKnowledge of Certificate Authority Servers and Active DirectoryAbility to gain DV clearance
