The service operations team facilitate safe and secure ingest and access to data for users/stakeholders across ONS facilitating demands for data use following the enactment of the Digital Economy Act.

This role will support the division in delivering a professional service to users/stakeholders using the Data Access Platform (DAP). DAP technology is currently being updated and the team is expanding to manage increased demand for our services.

You'll be a member of an effective and responsive team, using various project management techniques to ensure effective delivery of our products and services to ensure timely delivery of data for ONS statistical processing, whilst managing expectations to ensure delivery and successful outcomes.

Successful candidates will ensure strategic alignment, optimisation and standardisation to the delivery of processing regular and on demand service procedures applying clearly defined standards to underpin Data as a Service and support internal users.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to work at pace in an agile environment with a clear focus on service delivery and improvement, and will be required to carry out a range of tasks including:

* Working collaboratively across teams within ONS and wider communities to provide support and solutions to those wanting to use administrative data sources to deliver efficiencies, reduce respondent burden, improve quality and develop new outputs and analysis.

* Liaising with stakeholders to ensure their data management requirements are understood and are fully articulated.

* Identifying how existing business processes will need to change to support the wider use of administrative data.

* Identifying synergies between the work of different business areas to maximise the use of new infrastructure, technologies and tools.
