Health and Safety Technical Author - Hinckley - 2 Months A Health and Safety Technical Author is required to assist in the review of my client's Safety Management System. The primary role will be to provide high quality reviews to their suite of Health and Safety documents and where appropriate re-write and re-format existing material. The role will also involve consulting with the business to finalise such documents for approval, publication and implementation to help our organisation improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions. Part of the role will include the development of implementation plans and materials (briefing/training/ assessment) to be delivered out to the business to ensure successful delivery of content and understanding via training or other communication channels. Role ResponsibilitiesTo write, edit and co-ordinate the review of health and safety documents in consultation with the appropriate Business Functions and operational personnelMonitor progress of health and safety document reviews and produce regular progress reportsEnsure nominated Authorised Approvers, review and approve revised health and safety documents in preparation for publishingGenerate appropriate materials to ensure successful deliver and implementation of revised/new documents Experience RequiredA health and safety professional with a wide comprehension of current health and safety legislationProficient appreciation and understanding of Safety Management SystemsPrevious experience in editing health and safety proceduresGreat verbal, written and presentation skillsKnowledge of Office 365Clear understanding of the importance of stakeholder managementGood organisational skills Qualifications RequiredEducated to HNC/degree level (ideally in Health and Safety related discipline) with Health and Safety knowledge and experienceIOSH General Certificate in Safety and HealthFull UK Drivers Licence required
