A North Wales based company providing over 6000 quality homes to over 14,000 local customers are seeking a Development Land Manager to join their expanding team working remotely across North East Wales covering Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire.  As a Development Land Manager you will:
Lead the process of Identifying, developing and delivering new development opportunities of both affordable and open market housing according to strategic priorities.Make bids and offers and manage negotiations for new sites including Section 106 agreements and ensuring appraisals and valuations are up to date and correct.Prepare bids and produce development briefs to present to the company board, subsidiaries, customers, partners and key stakeholders.Promote the creation, maintenance and regeneration of communities in the delivery of new build schemes.Develop each project within company and Welsh Government guidelines ensuring standing orders, financial regulations and internal procedures are met and that approvals are obtained prior to making formal commitments.Attain relevant quality assurances schemes for developments such as the client charter or similar quality assurance schemes.Present commercial information to senior Management, Committees and Board of management through formal reports. The ideal Development Land Manager will have the following skills and experience:
BSc (Hons) in Building, Quantity Surveying, or Housing related equivalent or suitable working experience.Experience of managing the due diligence and financial appraisal process for new land opportunities.Experience of housing development including modern methods of construction, procurement and knowledge of appropriate forms of building contracts.Working knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of housing associations in Wales with specific relevance to new development.A sound technical knowledge relating to new builds and development.Experience of putting together bids for new build work and undertaking investment appraisal.Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards such as CDM regulations, building regulations, planning regulations, asbestos and Welsh Housing Quality Standard.Full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the nature of the role.
In return the Development Land Manager will receive a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience, 25 days holiday per year (increasing 1 day per year up to a maximum of 30 days), flexible and agile working, discounted gym membership in addition to a number of incentives to promote health and well being in the workplace.
