You are a SIEM expert, it's what you do. You live and breathe operational security and wouldn't change it for the world. You've earned your stripes, having worked you way up to a Senior Analyst or Senior Engineer position and are now looking for your next step whilst keeping your technical skills, they're important after all! Let's cut to the chase...What we're looking for here is someone who is going to be the technical go-to for development of solutions for the SOC environment, writing scripts and designing HLD/LLD for the implementation of new software and tools into the SOC, then being involved in the integration of these with the current tools being used. Are the current tools being used across the business working correctly? Are you receiving all the logs? Could we be utilising our network better with the use of a new tool on the market? That's on you buddy! You're that guy!If you're keeping a keen eye on the likes of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools then you're going straight to the top of the pile, we like people who are looking forwards, not backwards. We're not overly fussed which SIEM tools you have experience with currently, a real passion for them and overall operational security is the real key here.On top of all of this, you're going to be confident in delivering information to non-technical staff, the clearest voice in the room so that we can be sure everyone is up to speed with your plans for the SOC.The role will be mainly focused around core daytime hours but occasionally you may be needed to pitch in with the OOH rota when working on projects in other regions in the world.
