I have partnered up with a leading Digital Transformation Consultancy in Leeds City Centre who are looking to add to their existing delivery function by recruiting an experienced Agile Project Manager with a background delivering Agile software projects. The role is due to growth and an expanding project pipeline, with the long term focus being career progression and the opportunity to move into a Head of Delivery or Delivery Director role. The core focus of the role will be to essentially initiate, plan, facilitate and motivate high-performing Agile project teams with the overriding goal being to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions to their customers. You will work closely with these teams on a daily basis, with said teams consisting of Software Engineers, Web Developers, Mobile Developers and Business Analysts. You will act as a 'Scrum Master' on occasions and will be expected to engage with technical stakeholders on a daily basis. In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.Agile - Working with an Agile methodology aids the delivery of a successful solution. Therefore experience working in an Agile environment is an essential requirement for the role. Any Agile related certifications/qualification would be desirable, but not essential. Project Management - A solid background in E2E project management within IT and the ability to work with software engineering teams, would be essential. Any project management related certifications/qualification would be desirable, but not essential. Stakeholder Management - Moreover, due to the nature of this organisation (i.e. a Technical Consultancy), proven stakeholder-facing experience is therefore mandatory as you will be expected to deal with end customers on a daily basis. Strong communication skills is therefore a huge element of this role and something that must be present.Technical Background - Finally, whilst you won't be writing code or fixing servers, it is important that you have a technical background as you will be responsible for the delivery of E2E software projects (Web, Mobile). If you come from a Software Developer/Web Developer background then that is a big bonus. In return, you will benefit from an organisation that actually values their employees and I can personally vouch for the fact that they have a great company culture. They offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home, alongside a competitive benefits/bonus package.Intrigued?
