SAP Logistics Lead Consultant Advanced Planning and Scheduling (PPDS)

Role description:
Our SAP Consultants use their expertise and skills in SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment to help our clients achieve their objectives and as a key member of the Logistics Team, the SAP Logistics PPDS Lead Consultant will lead and manage the design and realisation of functional solutions and deliver against stated business requirements. Besides leading the design and realisation of PPDS solutions, a Lead Consultant will mentor and develop other SCM consultants within the team. To conclude, you are a Subject Matter Expert in your field and multi-skilled (solution design, mentor/ coaching, subject matter expert, pre-sales)
This role will have a focus on delivering SAP PPDS Projects at Our Client site as a result the role will involve UK based and International travel whilst working from Client Locations (app. 80%) mainly UK.
Key Tasks:
Ability to perform the role of Logistics lead on large SAP Implementations including the facilitation of workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the Customer and Clients organisations.
Design and implement Best Practice SAP Production Planning abd Scheduling solutions appropriate to Customer requirements and standards
Keep up to date with SAP capabilities within the SAP Digital Supply Chain arena
Delivery of complex solutions across a variety of different industry sectors
Prepares specifications, estimates and solution documentation to support work completed
Develop familiarity with clients operations
Fosters and maintains good relationships with customer key stake-holders
Is aware of commercial arrangements with a client and contributes to these as appropriate
Contribute to the continuous improvement within the SAP Logistics Team
Any other reasonable duty or request
Desired skills & experience:
At least 5 years' experience, including a minimum of 3 full life-cycle SAP project implementations, with strong functional configuration and implementation experience of;
S4HANA - Advanced Planning and Scheduling (embedded PPDS) and/or
SCM - APO- PPDS: Production Planning and Scheduling
Lead the solution design and roll-out
Ability to plan and deliver Client-facing Workshops (eg. Blueprinting)
Ability to write detailed Functional Specifications for bespoke developments
Knowledge of CIF and IDoc functionality
Data Migration Tools (CATT, LSMW, DMI)
Ability and desire to coach, mentor or manage the other members of the team
Experience with any of the following modules would also be beneficial:
PP: Discrete, Process, Repetitive Manufacturing, Material Requirements Planning, S&OP and Demand Management, Capacity Requirements Planning, Production Order Control, Assembly Processing
PS: Project Planning, Simulation, WBS, Networks, Costing and Budgeting, Posing and Allocation of Costs, Confirmations, MRP
PM: Technical Objects, Notifications, Order Processing, Notifications, Preventative Maintenance planning and Work Scheduling.
QM: Inspection Planning, Results processing, Certificate management, Notifications, Test Equipment management, Reporting, LIMS interfaces.
APO - DP: Demand Planning
APO - SNP: Supply Network Planning
APO BW: Business Warehouse engine within APO
