IT Systems Administrator - Infrastructure Systems & ProjectsWindows Desktop, Windows Servers 2012 / 2016, Virtualisation, VMware, Veeam, Storage, SAN's, Active Directory, Window 7 & 10, MS Office 365, TCP/IP, DNS, vLAN's, Firewalls, HP or SonicWALL, VPN, Networks, Security and Telephony.£30,000pa + Excellent Benefits Package + Training & DevelopmentOswestry, ShropshireAfter recent years of very successful and structured growth, this modern and progressive organisation are seeking to enhance the IT Infrastructure Support Team by recruiting a challenge motivated IT Systems Administrator with IT Projects experience.This role is pivotal but challenging, diverse and rewarding and will offer you an opportunity to grow technically as the breadth of in-house technology and pipelined projects are substantial.Alongside your day to day technical input you will also be required to take ownership of small but challenging IT Projects - imminent is a Windows 7 to Windows 10 migration!The person required will require energy, tenacity, patience, teamwork and the flexibility to go the extra mile and offer a 1st class customer experience.In return you will join a leading company that is experiencing growth, has a supportive and friendly environment, a very competitive starting salary and a solid bridge toward technical and personal development.Key technical experience required will include:Microsoft Windows Server Administration (2008 / 2012 / 2016)VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation in an enterprise environmentTroubleshooting networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls Configs, VPN, NAT, Routing and VLANsHardware Maintenance of Windows Servers 2008 / 2012 / 2016Maintenance of Desktops, Laptops, Network Appliances, Printers & ScannersMicrosoft Exchange Server and MS Office 365Microsoft Windows 7 and 10Proven track record of delivering IT Projects on time and budget.Your "Day to Day" responsibilities will involve:Handle escalated calls from 1st & 2nd Line Service Desk EngineersAdminister and maintain Active Directory, LAN, Internet, Firewalls & Exchange/Office 365Administer VMware or HyperV virtualised infrastructure including SAN technologyMonitor and troubleshoot server and network performance utilising the monitoring system to ensure any necessary action is takenAdminister DR systems and processesManagement of relationships with third parties and suppliersAdminister telephony systemKeep operational documentation up-to-dateOut-of-hours working is occasionally requiredTechnology accreditations such as MCSA, MCSE and VCP are desirable but will not take precedence over solid and proven IT Infrastructure and IT Systems Administration experience.
