MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER - Covent Garden - Permanent Machine Learning Engineer required to join an established brand based in Covent Garden.The Machine Learning Engineer will work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Owners, DevOps and Development Teams to build models that meet the expectations of Product Owners, are useable by Development Teams and perform as needed in production.As the Machine Learning Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for "Productionising" the models generated by the Data Scientists such that the final deployed model can safely be consumed by the companies online products.Machine Learning Engineer will have:
* A strong software engineering background, covering:
o Operational visibility of software artefacts
* Understanding of software development methodologies in a distributed data environment
* Experience with and understanding of a variety of machine learning techniques
* Ability to assess machine learning model performance
* Deep expertise in specific problem areas of running machine learning models, including:
o When (and how) models need to be re-trained
o Identifying and remediating biases
* Experience using machine learning pipelines and pre-built components (such as Apache Airflow)
* Competent in programming languages such as C#, Python and R
* Scripting in Powershell and Bash
* Familiarity with building Docker images
* Understanding of deployment into managed Kubernetes clusters
* Competence working with "Infrastructure as Code" tools (such as Terraform)
* Exposure to production observability techniques
* Strong analytical skills
