Are you a Senior Engineer looking after an environment that hasn't changed much over the years? Would you like the opportunity to be part of a team whose remit is to set out a new strategy, design and implement all new infrastructure?

A Software as a service company based in Leeds are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to report directly to the Head of IT delivering an IT department transformation.
Currently the company back off their IT and services onto the existing Group infrastructure team, but as the workload has increased, they are now in a position to bring on a separate in-house team with autonomy over technology from mid-2020.

So what skills do you need to be successful in this role?
From a technical perspective, having a background working with Cisco networks, Cisco UCS servers, NetApp SANs and Hyper-V would give you a distinct advantage.
However, the client is less focused on the vendor, and more interested in the technology. So if you have Nimble and VMware skills, you could still be very relevant as these technologies may be the ones implemented next year.Current/previous employers being ISO27001 certifiedAwareness of ITILA large part of your current role would be 3rd line support and project basedDesigned and implemented a disaster recovery solution before.Worked closely with QA, dev and testing teamsGenerating documentation for the new infrastructure once implemented.They are offering the following package:
