IT Project Engineer - Stockport

Permanent - £25-35K (DOE)

Monday to FridayReed Technology are working with an established managed services provider in Stockport to recruit an IT Project Engineer on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to provide pre-sales consultation, solution design and project implementation for the company's IT infrastructure product portfolio. This role is split 80% in the field and 20% in the office.Key Duties:* Consult with customers during the pre-sales phase and audit customer sites to record the essential information required to enable service desk support.

* Create the requisite technical specification documentation.

* Project planning and preparation, deploy and configure solutions.

* Support the testing and evaluation of new IT products.About You:* Extensive experience of working onsite with 3rd party customers and managing outcomes.

* Project Delivery - consulting, scoping, preparation, planning and review.

* Worked in a small business MSP environment.

* Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

* Full clean driving licence and own vehicle.Technical Skills Required:* Internet connectivity (ADSL, Fibre, Leased Line and MPLS)

* Windows Server 2008 / 2012, Windows Desktop 7/8/10, Internet Information Services Administration, Exchange administration, managing Active Directory and Group Policy.

* Hypervisor Technology - Vmware and Hyper V
