I am working with a leading Asset & Wealth Management Firm in Central London (EC4M) who are looking to recruit experienced Solutions Architects into their expanding 'Global Architecture' division. The roles are part of a huge recruitment drive in 2020, focused around the delivery of a huge piece of technological change within the business.Playing a key strategic role within the organisation, you will work with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to deliver said change to the business, providing Architectural governance whilst also contributing to their Global Architectural policies. Moreover, you will work across multiple teams, liaising directly with senior takeholders to help the organisation shift towards an Agile model, incorporating elements of DevOps/CI/CD whilst focusing on a diverse technology stack. In terms of their expectations, rather than copying and pasting the formal JD, I have chosen to highlight the specific things they are looking for from you...E2E Architecture - You should have a fundamental understanding of Cloud Architecture, Solutions Architecture and E2E Solutions Design. You should be able to work across various designs/methods (N-Tier, SOA, Microservices etc.), with any industry certifications (e.g. TOGAF) being a huge bonus.Stakeholder Management - Due to the sheer size of this organisation, your role will encompass a lot of stakeholder management, so proven experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is therefore crucial.Industry Experience - Whilst not absolutely essential, preference will be given to applicants wh come from a background in either Asset Management, Banking, Investment Management or Financial Services.Technology Background - Preference will be given to applicants who have a hybrid background encompassing Application Development and Infrastructure technologies. Experience working with open source programming (e.g. Java, Scala, Go, Python), cloud technology (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps/CI/CD tooling (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef) would be ideal. In return, you'll benefit from the chance to work for a genuinely innovative organisation. I have personally worked with them for a number of years and can vouch for the culture as well as the amount of opportunity available. Moreover, they are offering salaries up to £110,000 (base) alongside excellent bonuses and a flexible benefits package. So if you are interested and would like to proceed then reach out.
