Trade Operations Engineer (Linux / UNIX SQL Python FIX CISI). Want to spend your day problem solving and collaborating with other world class engineers on complex and interesting systems based in amazing offices?

As a Trade Operations Engineer you will maintain, upgrade and support systems that handle direct trade flow as well as middle office, pricing and back office systems across all asset classes. Responsibilities will encompass 1st and 2nd line support of traders; monitoring of daily systematic trade flow, managing order rejects, triage of production issues and incident management with various trading teams. You'll manage the UAT EMS environment, testing new releases / features, liaising with trading teams to plan UAT and production rollouts and support front, middle and back office applications in production and staging environments, escalating development where necessary.

Requirements:

Experience in a similar trade operations position with strong knowledge of in at least one market: Equities, Futures, FX or Fixed Income

Thorough understanding of trading system architecture and market data feeds

Strong knowledge of Linux / UNIX; SQL; Python (or other scripting language)

Ability to pro-actively identify opportunities for automation

Degree educated; Computer Science or similar scientific / numeric discipline

Desirable: FIX protocol experience, CISI accreditation / Capital Markets Programme
