Job Title: Platform EngineerRates: NegotiableContract Length: 3 Months rollingStart Date: ASAP Responsibility

* Working in a team building and managing our customers GCP environments and projects to enable application deployments

* Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure as Code methods (e.g. Terraform)

* Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers.)

* Manage SDN in GCP

* Ensure compliance with Security and Operational risk standards (E.g. Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency)

* Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD) and continuous testing activities

* Engineering activities to implement patches and updates

* Support non-functional testing

* Update support and operational documentation as required

* Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP databases, NoSQL storage, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting and Dashboard development

Required Experience:

* Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy and Scala

The ideal candidate for this role will have a blend of the following experience and qualities:

* Any experience of building a range of Services in GCP

* Strong Understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques.

* Experience using CI/CD and available tools

* Knowledge of Security and Compliance, e.g. IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools

* Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams

* Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security standards
