Lead Developer | Newcastle-Upon-Tyne | £55,000PHP and/or JavaScriptYou will work for a leader in partnership automation. The AI-powered Automation Platform delivers data-driven intelligence and industry-leading management tools that are essential in driving more ROI from this fast-growing sales channel. The platform you will be a part of has won more than two dozen awards!Purpose of the Role:To track performance marketing data and build a number of solutions to turn this data into useful information for customers. You will work with a lot of data, generating over a billion events across our infrastructure daily. They aim to make as much of this data available in real-time as possible, which is no mean feat at this scale!As a Lead Software Engineer at Partnerize, You Will:Lead a team of Engineers working in a cross-functional team usingAgile principles in a highly autonomous and collaborative environmentTake ownership of all technical and architecture decisions for your teamWork closely with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure timely deliverySupport, coach and mentor the engineers in your teamWrite clean, well-tested and refactored code alongside the other engineersBecome the go to Engineer for your teams business domainEssential Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:Extensive software engineering experience using one or more languages including PHP and/or JavaScriptExperience with architecture design while leading software development teamOO skills, strong design and integration patterns knowledgeExperience with Agile and Lean delivery approaches and modern engineering practices, such as clean code, TDD, refactoring, Domain driven design, Continuous integration and deliveryExperience in designing, developing and consuming REST APIs and APIs as productExperience with communicating technical vision and passion for close collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersThe ability to communicate in a concise and focused way, listen to others, and practice patience Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:Experience with distributed data processing, real-time data streaming and messaging systemsExperience with container technologies, such as Docker and KubernetesDemonstrate behaviours that encourage a DevOps culture What We're Offering25 days holiday in addition to bank holidaysWeekly company Big BreakfastOwnership of a generous learning allowance that is reallocated each year Enhanced pension contributions Cycle to Work schemeEye Care VouchersRegular company events and activitiesSo What Next?If this is an opportunity that genuinely interests you, and you believe that you've got what it takes to be a successful candidate, I would be more than happy to arrange a conversation with you to discuss this further.You can call me on 0191 338 7614.
