For our client in Dusseldorf, we are currently looking for a Senior IT PMO, Support and Governance role (all genders are welcome)

Start: asap

End: 30.4.20

Volume: 40h

Location: Birmingham, UK

Remote: 1 day per week possible

Project language: English

Travel: yes possible to other locations in the UK and Germany

Project Overview

Following the decision to split the former parent company into two separate and autonomous businesses, the now independent client business has developed a series of key IT projects which in turn will be developed to deliver the more modern hosting environments and full separation from their former parent company. Task:

- advise the analysis and verification of the 'as is' IT landscape for the target systems, applications, data and/ or services (i.e. support the validation of the requirements)

- identification of any change or gaps in the current understanding of the 'as is' landscape and manage any needed change controls according to the internal process

- adhere to the defined IT strategy, architecture, design and security standards

- provide feedback on analysis conducted etc so as to shape the master lists of requirements

standards (i.e. data consolidation and collaboration activities)

- advise the migration plan(s) in place for the identified infrastructure, systems and services into the new hosting environment with the suppliers to achieve the target timescales

- steer for suitable project controls to be put in place to manage the subscribed project goal

- track, control and report on project deliverables and/ or budget on behalf of under standard processes

- risk and issues management by steering workstreams to apply advised solutions to dissolve issues + solve and mitigate risks

- lessons learnt management and adoption by conducting respective workshops + identify measures to be applied as needed

- engage with the business user community and communicate plans, likely impact, moves, testing, etc for alignment of the target systems and services to be able to achieve a successful sign-off

- produce and make available needed comms material and/ or training material

- organise and advise the delivery of Project Steering Committees (PSCs)

- initiate and coordinate de-commissioning requests to be raised for any unused infrastructure identified during the implementation activities of the projectRequired Skills:

- experience in the Energy / Utilities sector

- certified project management office and project governance skills (e.g. Prince2, Agile, Management of Risk, etc) and related experience

- Programme experience would be an advantage (e.g. MSP and ITIL)

- previous experience in managing large infrastructure migration or transition related projects

- extensive experience of managing third parties and service provider, preferably gained in an outsourced IT environment

- extensive experience of risk and change management (and responsiveness to change)

- experience of working within programmes which have a number of inter-dependency projects
