Cloud Engineer - Manchester - 3 months+Our client, a leading Software Company based in the North West are currently looking for a number of Cloud Engineer's due to an increase in project work.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with Cloud architects and Engineers to build on-time, high quality customer solutions, through migration projects and Professional Services engagementsPartake in client meetings and workshopsProduce structured, clear and accurate technical documentationProvide assistance to the Cloud support desk in resolving customer issuesWork closely with the support teams to ensure that solutions can be managed in a scalable, automated wayWhat we'd like you to haveKnowledge of Microsoft applications and services (Windows Server, SQL, IIS, AD, .NET, Powershell)Knowledge of AWS technologies and servicesKnowledge of at least one open-source technology and services (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Bash)Knowledge of DevOps tools and frameworks (e.g. Code repositories, Automation [Infrastructure as code / scripting languages] CI/CD tools etc.)Orchestration and automation of maintenance and support operations to reduce manual processes wherever feasibleThe ability to diagnose support issues and work under pressure to resolve issues in the quickest possible time to minimize any impact to customersMaintain and develop knowledge and skills in AWS and Microsoft servicesKnowledge of networking and WAN technology as well as an understanding of cloud-based networking including SDN, virtual routing and virtual firewall managementKnowledge of security within a hosting environment including hardening of customer solutions in order to minimise risks to the customer To be able to react in a calm and professional manner when faced with unexpected challenges If this position looks interesting and you would like to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact me asap.
