Our client requires a Technical Support Officer (2nd line) for an initial 3 month contract (likelihood of extension) based in Bishop Auckland. Main Duties:- To provide effective 1st and 2nd line ICT support.- Performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.- Modify user accounts to control access to applications.- Participate in the provision of an effective and efficient fault resolution service, recording actions via the IT helpdesk.- Deploy PCs and associated software and peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.- Ensure effective fault finding and problem solving to high or complex level. Experience:- Experience providing 1st and 2nd line ICT support across a large organisation.- Experience in the use of Microsoft operating systems- Experience of supporting computer hardware including PCs, Laptops and other peripherals.- This position may include travel between sites and the wider community. As such a full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle will be beneficial.
