Project Planner - Subsea Bristol 6 months Role Summary/Purpose:This posting is for the position of a Project Planner for an Oil & Gas Subsea business, in charge of planning a portion of a large subsea EPC project. The planner will be accountable for the schedule quality and project on-time delivery. The position reports to the product line planning leader.Essential responsibilities:1 - Schedule management: The planner will oversee a portion of the project schedule, more specifically the activities related to project management, engineering and procurement for a large portion of the project. The planner will need to ensure the schedule quality (logic, clarity) and accuracy (update of dates, reflexion of the scope of supply).2 - Coordination: the planner will be collaborating with engineering and sourcing functions in order to update the schedule based on their inputs. The planner will also be collaborating with other planners on the project, especially the fabrication planner on site and to some extent also the product line planners and the lead EPC planner. 3 - Project management support: The planner is the right-hand man/woman of the project manager and as such will provide him/her visibility on i) look ahead of tasks to be performed in the 3 - 6 weeks ii) risks in schedules and mitigation actions iii) opportunities in the schedule. The planner will provide relevant reports to project management to ensure the Project Manager has all the tools required to make the right decisions driving on time and on budget project execution. 4 - Support with customer: the planner will interact with the customer to provide update on schedule as well as explain the current situation / challenges / opportunities. 5 - Implementation of the integrated project planning initiative: the planner will adhere to the approved processes and proactively drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning.Qualification / requirements:Bachelor / master's degree / Equivalent (Engineering/Math/Science degree preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning in the subsea industry.Expertise in use of the Primavera P6 planning tool.
