Main Responsibilities:
> Work with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to build on the proprietary SMA test solutions, and improve product quality, results tracking and traceability
> Writing test specifications and defining test cases that evaluate and verify our proprietary hardware, firmware and software systems.
> Take ownership of the company's automated testing infrastructure, developing and improving the methods and procedures in order to enhance our ability to deliver successful products
> Introduce new testing methodologies and act as a champion for quality and verification
> Mentor a more junior engineer
Skills, Qualifications:
> A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
> Demonstratable commercial coverage of a programming/scripting language such as Ruby, Perl, Python, Bash etc
> Demonstratable commerical application and achievement in a similar role
> Testing of embedded firmware
> Designing, developing an maintaining automated test cases
> Defining test plans
> Highly competent, with strong communication skills
> Mentoring or leadership
Desirables:
> Previous work in commercialization
> Black-box testing
> Mentoring or leadership
> Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
> Version control
> Understanding of mechanical systems
> Understanding of control systems
