I am working with a public sector client in Manchester who are looking for a Systems Administrator DBA on an interim basis.

Overview of role

Manages database and/or associated business applications configuration including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation. Technical supervision, motivation, direction, development, training and mentoring of assigned staff.

Responsibilities:Provide technical support of large PeopleSoft installations on Oracle/Linux, at least PT8.55/Applications 9.2, ideally PT857PUM12.Use of appropriate tools to automate routine tasks, e.g. shell scripting/cron, task scheduler, Puppet, DPKs, ACM).Setup and administration of Oracle Databases through use of RMAN clones, refreshes, restores, Dataguard &c.)Systems they use: PeopleSoft, Peoplesoft Performance Monitor, Campus Solutions 9.2, Oracle/Linux.]Nice to have: Automation and orchestration practices. Shell scripting/cron, task scheduler, Puppet, DPKs and ACM.

Location: Manchester

Duration: 4 month contract

Rate: £400- £450 approx. per day
