2D Graphics Artist Vacancy

My Client requires a 2D Graphics Artist to join our Virtual Gaming team based in Manchester, primarily creating 2D graphical content for our virtual games, and to assist in the editing and creation of video, and audio. This is a junior role, but is varied and has a lot of potential for growth.

Responsibilities

* To create/edit UI graphical assets, fulfil marketing requests, video/audio editing and to deliver them to the required specification in a timely manner as specified by your Line Manager and/or the Head of Graphics.

* To sometimes assist with other tasks within the Virtual Graphics team as required, e.g. keying, tracking, rotoscoping etc.

* To assist the Virtual Graphics, Product and Software Development teams in driving forward and agreeing new product functionality and enhancements.

Skills Required

* Proactive, dynamic person who is capable of managing their own time and prioritising their own task list based on instructions from their Line Manager. This person should be comfortable working in an environment where tasks are often unpredictable, dealing with multiple requests in parallel where requirements can shift unpredictably.

* Preferable to have some experience working in a similar role in a graphics / gaming environment, delivering assets for projects/products to specification within agreed timelines. This could be during college/university education, after higher education and/or in a work environment.

* Must be able to work with a diverse range of team members (i.e. artists/animators, product development managers, project managers, commercial team members, senior management), and be able to communicate effectively with all fellow colleagues.

* Must have a good eye for detail and some creative design ability.

* Must have good communication skills (written and verbal).

* Must have some experience of the following software packages ? - Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe Animate/Flash and After Effects would be useful - Any other graphics packages could also potentially be utilised

* UI/UX experience/interest

* A general knowledge/interest in sports would be very beneficial

Educational Requirements

A degree or other qualification in a related Graphic Design field would be advantageous.
