I am currently recruiting for a Operation Analyst on a Permanent Consultancy basis to be based in Warminster. The role is working for us directly here at Experis consulted out at one of our clients sites.

We are seeking a highly-motivated, self-starting analyst to join our clients Operational Support Capability (OSC) team. The OSC will provide support to Army and NATO higher formation exercises - including high-pressure analysis in the field. Prior to supporting the first exercise, full training will be given as well as time to develop effective relationships with the existing embedded teams and client. It is imperative that any applicant for these roles has a passion for the military - and the army in particular. This could be from being a reservist, a cadet or having a keen interest in military history.

You will be required to deliver strategic and operational analysis services through problem structuring, data analysis, modelling and simulation, combined with financial modelling and forecasting to help inform decision makers in both qualitative and quantitative terms. This will involve elements of:

* Combat modelling and force analysis;

* Constructive simulation and optimisation;

* War gaming at a variety of unit scales; Exercise planning, execution and feedback;

* Logistics modelling;

* Dynamic systems modelling; and

* Statistical analysis and interpretation.

Our clients are dispersed, so travel within the UK will be necessary and a willingness and ability to travel to, and operate from, client sites and attend exercises around the UK is important. The primary location for this OSC role is at a customer site in Warminster, Wiltshire, but applicants with be a member of (and engaged with) one of our clients Operational Analysis & Strategic Consulting teams at either Farnborough or Bristol. The role is initially to last for 2 years, but follow on work is expected.

Professional Capabilities/Experience:

* Working Knowledge of the MOD Capability Planning and Acquisition processes;

* Experience of delivering those elements of Operational Analysis as detailed above;

* Competent at writing technical reports and delivering presentations to a range of clients including serving officers;

* Analytical design - able to convert customer requirements and problems into analytical methods and deliver answers;

* Able to engage, facilitate and elicit information from a range of stakeholders including engaging senior military officers, including one-on-one and in workshops;
