Software Engineer / Java Developer (DevOps RESTful API Java 8 / Java 11 TDD). Would you like to work in an open, collaborative environment where learning and personal development are key and there's a strong pipeline of Greenfield projects as well as flexible working?

Joining an Agile TDD team that cares about code quality as a Software Engineer / Java Developer you will design and develop new features and enhancements to the core platform for a market leading software house that provide a suite of smart voice services to a variety of clients ranging from investment banks to the emergency services.

You'll be using Java 8 / Java 11 and Scala (training provided) and will gain exposure to AWS ECS, RESTful APIs, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins and GitHub amongst others, using the best tool for the job and continually learning and picking up new languages and technologies.

You'll be based in Central London, within a friendly team environment that encourages knowledge sharing, close collaboration and regular company wide hack-a-thons; you'll have time dedicated every Friday afternoon to exploring your own technology interests.

Requirements:

Strong core Java development skills

Advocate of Agile development using Test Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, refactoring

Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithm design, SOLID design principles

Advocate of automation wherever possible, familiar with CI/CD environments

Collaborative team member with excellent communication skills

Nice to have: AWS, C++
