Assistant Planner | Hampshire / Wiltshire | Contractor

This Planner role is with a main contractor who pick up over £500m worth of projects per year, a mixture of new build and refurbishment work - most of which is building and maintaining MOD bases across the South.Due to an internal restructure, they are looking for an additional Assistant Planner to help with the growing workload. Working alongside an experienced Senior Planner, you will be providing an effective and professional planning and programming service on a variety of MOD projects within an hour's radius of Tidworth. Straight away, you will be working on live new build / refurbishment schemes with values ranging between £5m - £15m and eventually moving onto a £70m+ scheme which due to go live later this year. This is a great chance to get you foot in the door within a company who have a guaranteed and steady workload. Furthermore, you will benefit from working alongside an experienced Senior Planner who is dedicated to developing your career and aims to see you leading your projects in no time! Key requirements for this Assistant Planner role Must have strong knowledge of the construction industryMust have experience using Primavera P6Must have 1+ years experience working as a Planner within the construction industryHave a good understanding of planning techniques and the tender processHappy to travel to sites across Wiltshire and HampshirePlanning experience primarily on building projects (New build and refurbishment)Must be an effective communicatorA construction related degree will be advantageous.
