Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Python SQL API GCP). Want to work with a team of technologists where you will be actively encouraged to learn, share knowledge and develop your skills within a supportive technology driven environment?

You could be joining a technology start-up that provide white labelled ticketing platforms to the likes of Amazon. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new products and the enhancement of existing services; you'll be working on B2C eCommerce websites and API development for white labelled products with a focus on backend development using Python. There are several technical challenges to tackle including migrating to a microservices based architecture, moving infrastructure to Google Cloud and simplifying the system to allow for scalability.

The tech stack is based on Python and Go with some legacy Objective-C.

This Python Developer role presents an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a small but rapidly growing company with excellent career progression opportunities.

Requirements:

Strong backend development experience with Python - will also consider C, Objective-C or Golang

Good database and SQL knowledge

Passion for technology with a strong interest in modern / emerging technologies and approaches

Strong analysis and problem solving abilities

Excellent communication skills

Desirable: API development experience; experience with highly scalable low latency applications; familiar with CI/CD; Google Cloud Platform
