Security Engineer / Technologist - AWS

I am seeking an experienced security technologist with the ability to influence policy, information assurance processes, development and best practice through practical skills.We are looking for someone that will have general expertise across information security, with a specialism in one of cryptography, application security, networking, forensics, reverse engineering, etc.You will be required to be able to communicate threats to aid continuous information assurance through evidence of assessment using appropriate techniques such as:penetration testingInvestigationDevelopment, e.g. such as building upon a tool that solves the problem betterSecurity architecture design and operations managementYou will be required to challenge and propose changes to existing processes where they do not contribute to the rapid delivery of a secure service.

Essential Skills:

Demonstrable technical ability in the area of vulnerability assessment and penetration testingCommunicating risk in a nuanced manner to inform business decisionsKnowledge of networking and infrastructure, and related security concernsBasic scripting abilityA clear idea of best practice in writing secure code and deployment

Desirable Skills:

Experience in industry performing similar rolesKnowledge of cloud technologies and their applicationCertifications relevant to the roleExpertise in reverse engineering malware, forensics, application security/secure coding, networking or cryptographyAbility to script automated assessments, and write code where neededContribution of papers or talks to conferences, or similar
