Data Solutions ArchitectBirminghamUp to £65,000 + Bonus Experis IT are currently recruiting for a Data Solution Architect to join one of our key clients based in Birmingham City Centre. You will be based in Birmingham City Centre, in an office flexible role, working as part of a wider team inclusive of Business Analysts, Project Managers, and an Infrastructure team. In this role you will support multiple diverse initiatives across our business, producing high quality designs, balancing business needs and cost of ownership while advancing the architecture. You will also be the go-to person for day to day technical guidance for our extended teams helping projects from inception to delivery.

The Data Solution Architect's work is varied and challenging, and includes the following:

Define and delivering an Enterprise Data Architecture strategyCollaborate with the business and technical stakeholders to maximise the value of information within the company Design and oversee the implementation of data architecture while supporting projects from a solution architecture perspective.Drive the adoption of cloud based architectures to consolidate data and information managementLead the identification of potential solutions able to fulfil business requirements and make recommendations to the business based on architecture principles & guidelinesPresent findings & recommendations to IT Architecture Forum, identifying where the proposed solution does not adhere to architecture principlesEnsuring that all licensing implications are understood and documented in support of the detailed solution designBuild market & sector knowledge to ensure awareness of potential solutions / solution providers and share knowledge with other IT teams to enable engagement with the businessWork with 3rd party solution providers to produce roadmaps for architecture componentsIdentifying opportunities for decommissioning legacy systems and document licensing implicationsMaintaining documentation on the current architecture (Application, Data, Infrastructure and Licensing) ensuring changes are reflected in a timely mannerWhat we would like to see from you:Five years' experience in a similar roleAn infectious passion for dataDemonstrable understanding of data architecture, engineering (including warehousing and transformation) methodologiesDetailed understating of data storage, analytics, big data and supporting technologiesExperience in delivering data architecture in AzureITIL foundation - Appreciation of ITIL and Service Design techniques - Desirable Demonstrable experience of working within an Agile environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on being able to translate complex data concepts to non technical peopleAbility to influence key stakeholders and work together to make change happenKnowledge and understanding of corporate policy and business strategyThe ability to produce, manipulate, implement or enhance all architecture concepts, roadmaps, principles or effective strategiesThe ability to think laterally and constructively question established processAbility to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Proven experience of managing third party companies
