Job Role: Solutions Architect - London - £600 - £700 per day A client within the Financial Services industry are currently recruiting an qualified AWS Solutions Architect to join the team on a DWH project. Initially a 3 month contract, but with scope to extend for the right candidate. The Role:You will have a proven track record in AWS design, implementation and support. You will have a background in application development and the ability to program in at least one high level programming language (e.g. Java, Python or Node JS). You should also have demonstratable document production skills - e.g. design documents and architecture diagrams, as it is important that you can present information directly to clients. Required:AWS core services (EC2, RDS, S3, and ElastiCache)AWS network services (AWS VPC, Subnetting, Security Groups, and Routing)AWS serverless (Lambda, API GW, SNS, SQS, and Dynamo DB)Ability to create high quality Cloud Formation or Teraform scripts, proven ability to use the AWS CL and GIT/SVNStrong Unix and Bash knowledge Desirable:AWS Solution Architect, Professional Certification and/or AWS Developer, Associate CertificationSkill and experience flexibility over a narrow but deep specialismEvidence of cross-vendor work as opposed to a candidate who wants to remain skilled in a single vendor's technologiesLead the design and implementation of Step FunctionsKnowledge and understanding of the Well Architected Framework including the Serverless LensUnderstanding or some exposure to Data Lakes and Data Engineering with knowledge of AWS data lake services (Glue, Glue Catelog, RedShift, Athena, Kinesis)Developed solutions using AWS SAM or the Serverless Framework and defined APIs in SwaggerUnderstanding of continuous integration and delivery, with implementation in AWS Code or Jenkins What's next?:Apply today to be considered.
