ResponsibilitiesProvide line management and strong leadership of the electronic engineering teamOwnership of electronic engineering processes within QTS. Ensuring that company processes are correctly followed within the electronic engineering team.Working with Project Engineers to ensure that engineering projects are suitably resourced for Electronic Engineering and help determine the technical strategy to be taken for each project.Working with the Engineering Director and other senior colleagues to develop the product development strategy for QTS.Designing of a wide range of RF, low voltage analogue and digital electronic assembliesBeing the technical lead for projects of any sizeEnsuring a safe system of work is in place for the Electronics R&D labRequired SkillsYou will have a minimum of degree or equivalent, in relevant fields or similar qualification dependent on experience.A minimum of 5 years' experience in an electronic engineering development environmentHands on experience of electronic test and measurement equipment is required Experience in the design of electronic products is essential Good working knowledge of PCB and component level circuit design is essentialExperience using PADS and Easy PC for PCB design is desirableHands on experience of electronic test and measurement equipment is required Must be competent in technical report writing A high level of competency using Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Project is essential
