Purpose

The Data Centre Support Server Team is responsible for the IT service provisioning for the Staffordshire Police force, maintaining an uninterrupted service of key operational and administrative systems. The failure of any of these systems could seriously compromise the ability of the client

Key Skills

*VMWare Products Configuration and Administration

*Knowledge of Azure application, services and technologies

*Hyper-V & Server Manager Configuration and Administration

*Microsoft Server 20012/2016

Desirable Skills

*Experience of supporting server deployments activities through a development, design, test and implementation lifecycle.

*Support project planning activities as required.

*SQL Server Configuration & Administration

*MS Storage Spaces and Backup Technologies

*DELL M-Series Enclosures & Blade Servers

*Perform cost-benefit analysis for new infrastructure solutions, present findings and support decision making.

*Citrix Administrator/Architect with strong skills and experience in associated technologies

*Citrix NetScaler/XenApp/Xen Desktop, RDS and Terminal Services

*VDI, Exchange, Lync and Sharepoint Service

*MS Security, Active Directory, GPO

*MS HA Clustering Configuration & Administration Exchange Services

*Lync

*Office 365 ADFS, AAD Connect

Required Qualifications

*MCSE - Server Infrastructure, Private Cloud

*MCSA - Windows Server 2008/2012

*VCP

Responsibilities include but not limited to

*Diagnose complex IT problems, implementing workarounds and rapidly resolving incidents.

*Monitor the performance of the force computer systems, proactively identify potential issues. Determine resolution plans.

*Provide BAU support to the core IT team (Infrastructure Analyst, IT technicians, Network team) to ensure the successful transition of new capabilities into the live environment

*Support system program and application changes/upgrades to the environment to proactively meet the developing requirements of the customer
