Leicester About the roleHere at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to work on an exciting new role based of out of our divisional headquarters in Leicester.Cavendish Nuclear are part of the wider Babcock International Group and we manage a multimillion pound, through-life maintenance, equipment support, and engineering contract - supporting nuclear power plants operated by global energy organisations. We are looking for a talented and experienced Procurement Professional to lead a small team of transactional buyers and to undertake the following key accountabilities.Close involvement with suppliers & stakeholders to identify and implement the most cost effective and technically efficient supply solutionsManaging sourcing and tendering processesLeading negotiations with suppliers to ensure that the most cost effective supply solutions are obtainedPost contract management ensuring the terms of a contract are adhered toLeading supplier performance monitoring and development initiativesMonitor and track personal performance against functional targets to continually improve value and performance in procurement activitiesLead a high performing team of junior procurement staffWhat do I need to do the role?Qualified to degree level or able to display equivalent experience.
