Technical Support/IT System Support/ IT Support/ IT Support Technician/ Application Support /Technician/2nd Line Support/IT Systems EngineerType: PermanentLocation: Tadley, HampshireSalary: £30,000-£35,000 per annumTechnical Support/IT System Support/ IT Support/ IT Support Technician/ Application Support/Technician/2nd Line Support/IT Systems EngineerAs the Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to customers, partners, resellers, and the Clients sales team on their products.Some of the Essential duties and responsibilities include:Managing onsite customer installationsInvestigate, diagnose, report and provide solutions to customer problems or escalate issues as requiredInvestigate and repair returned products, including initial review/diagnosis.Support Factory product test activities as requestedParticipate in pre-sales activities as directed, including assisting customers in product selection, provide technical product information.This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business who for many years have been creating mission critical communications solutions for public safety, transportation, utilities, natural resources, healthcare, and academic institutions.As the Technical Support Engineer, you should also be able to perform a range of technical work activities either remotely or onsite. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment with high level of initiative and self-motivation is key.In order to be suitable for this role, you must have the willingness and ability to travel internationally/ and or domestically as required as part of the Technical Support Engineer duties.Participate in a 24/7365 "On Call" support programme, providing around the clock support will be required.Skills:SQL and Linux (CentOS) would be an advantageCiscoWindows Server 2012/2016Understand Dell R ServersGood working Windows operating systems such as XP,7,8.1, & 10Proficiency in conducting technical product trainings, demonstrations and presentations to customers, business partners and resellers in various settings including customer sites/trade shows.Experience:Experience in a Technical and engineering support RoleExperience in radio/telephony control room systems, digital radio system and/ or data network would be beneficial If you would like to be considered for this great opportunity, then please apply below.
