A client of Spring Technologies are currently recruiting for a IT Security Analyst

Based in Edinburgh on an initial 6-12 month contract with the option to extend.

Role Experience

*Monitor for, and respond to, security incidents;

*Undertake threat assessments using various threat feeds;

*Undertake regular vulnerability scanning and triage;

*Contribute to documentation including:

*Operational security standards;

*Patterns;

*Processes;

*Application of security controls in line with standards such as ISO27001 / PCI DSS, CIS Top 20 etc.;

*Vulnerability Management;

*Security Monitoring and Investigations;

*Intrusion Detection Systems;

*Standards Creation.

Candidates must also have experience in at least 3 of the following areas:

*Knowledge and experience conducting forensic analysis to identify indicators of compromise;

*Experience with network analysis tools and the ability to conduct packet capture analysis;

*Excellent understanding of network principles (TCP/IP, DNS etc.) and Internet Protocols (HTTP, SMTP etc.);

*Ability to triage vulnerability criticalities in line with implemented security controls and / or known plausible threats observed in relevant threat feeds;

*Knowledge of threat modelling techniques and threat analysis.
