My client is a growing public sector body based in Bristol looking to bring their cloud and digital platform services in house as part of an exciting programme of work.They require an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to lead this programme of work from a technical angle. Client DetailsMy client is a growing public sector body based in Bristol looking to bring their cloud and digital platform services in house as part of an exciting programme of work.DescriptionEnsure internal Digital Services are performing in line with business needs, they are patched, secure and supported and are being lifecycle managed complete with roadmaps, upgrade paths and technical refresh plans. Ensure documentation for owned services is in place and regularly reviewed including documentation required as part of the ICT Service Portfolio and for operational support teams. Ensure the Azure Digital Services Platform is configured appropriately and inline with agreed business practices. Support colleagues with designing and managing code releases and the deployment models used by the team. Through work with Service Managers and internal/external suppliers undertake effective Demand Management to identify change impact, risk, priority, size, business value and delivery timescales. Liaise with Project Management and Service Management functions to ensure potential changes or impacts to owned Digital/Cloud Services are understood and managed appropriately through BAU change and/or project based change. Contributing towards the on call rota to provide support out of hours to digital/cloud solutions - 1 in 4 weeks. ProfilePrevious 3rd Line Technical Support covering the following technologies:MS Azure, Azure AD, Office 365, Windows Server 2016, VMWareExperience working on a variety of projects centred around cloud solutions with proven deliveryExperience working with outsource partners/consultancies on business change projects/programmes of workKnowledge of DevOps methodologies (CI/CD pipelines).Experience working with wider business teams - Testing, Development, Project ManagementExperience of software releases and associated release managementKnowledge of the software development lifecycleJob Offer£40,000-£45,000 + remote working + additional benefits
