BI Developer - SSIS and Wherescape

Spring Technology is currently looking for an experienced BI Developer. This is a 6 Month contract based in Hove, East Sussex.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Ideally Bachelors Degree in either Maths, Science or Engineering

Proven experience in ETL/ELT tools (SSIS, Wherescape)

Experience data modelling (Kimball - star schemas)

Previous or current experience in Data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)

Exposure to cloud infrastructure (MS Azure, Snowflake)

Advanced T-SQL including

- select, insert, update, and merge statements

- data type conversion functions

- lead, lag, power and other advanced functions

- ability to write stored procedures from scratch and understand existing code

Experience of analysing source system databases and identify relationships data models or ERDs

RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing ELT process within Wherescape for multiple source systems

Review current manual MS Excel and VBA data processing and design new data transformation with Wherescape Staging Tables

Building Power BI dashboards to meet stakeholder requirements and replace MS Excel reports

Work with stakeholders to provide data solutions to enable process improvement within Group Protection
