We're currently supporting one of the Worlds top 100 Universities in their search for an Application Support Analyst.The main focus of your role will include providing support on a diverse range of existing applications and services. You'll be part of a team which focuses on providing support for a diverse range of existing business critical library services and applications. You'll also be delivering a sustainable service for the usability, management and preservation of Special Collections metadata and digital collections.What are your responsibilities?Provide high quality proactive and reactive application supportDesign and implementation of new tools or the integration of existing tools with new technologiesAnalyse a range of management information to identify trends and patterns to ensure continuous service improvementSupporting colleagues to handle incidents, confirm bugs and providing clear communication with users.Experience required for this role:Experience providing technical and application support within an IT environmentExperience of analysing source code and scriptsExperience of using SQL and scripting languages such as PHP, Perl or Python.Experience writing system documentation and user guidesIf you have a previous history of supporting Linux and Unix servers and are interested in this opportunity then please apply today with your latest CV.
