I am currently working alongside a company who are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Moorgate. They have an immensely talented, daring and multicultural team of individuals, who create extraordinary games that millions of people love, play and share everyday.The Data Engineer will ensure data delivery is consistent through ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited having an opportunity to come in and have free reign to help re-design the companies data architecture.ResponsibilitiesBuild the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectureAssemble large, complex data sets that meet functional business requirements.Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.RequirementsProven extensive experience in a Data Engineer roleBachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, RedshiftExperience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages (Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.)Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.Advanced working SQL knowledgBenefitsAnnual Holiday AllowancePrivate Medical Insurance (BUPA)Life AssurancePension SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeSupportive family policesDiscounted gym membershipBYOBEye TestsTravel to Work LoanJefferson Frank International Ltd is the global leader in AWS recruitment, advertising more AWS jobs than any other agency.
