Big Data Developer - Data Warehousing - Java / Scala / Bash vacancy requiring profound Python or Scala knowledge for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:4+ years of experience with Java or Scala programming languages and confidence in Bash scripting - Python is a plusYou have experience building data warehousing and analytics solutions using one of the major Hadoop distributions and various ecosystem components (e.g. HDFS, Impala, Spark, Flink, Flume, Kafka, etc.).Relevant experience with IT-Security in a Hadoop environmentExperience within Big Data platforms such as Cloudera or Hortonworks paired with some basic project management skills are a plusKnow-how of Data modelling and SQL paired with a background in building production data pipelines using Spark, Spark Streaming and Flink technologiesLanguages: English, fluent in written and spokenYour tasks:Developing software components responsible for acquiring end-of-day and intraday data and for data flows involving joins between these data setsElaborating architecture of the solution with the use of latest technologies available in the bankProactively participating in the design and technology review of the software components developedWorking to streamline development and to enhance software performanceCooperating with platform management and other team members, preparing the releases and delivering the applications to productionContributing to integration testing both automated and manualProviding 3rd level support with solving incidents regarding the Production system Start: ASAP
