Software Development Team Leader - Digital

As a Software Development Team Leader - Digital you will take responsibility for the provision of a technical capability of Digital & software development to support the delivery of the IT programme of work. This will be provided through the development and management of internal resources, and the exploitation of external partner capabilities.

Digital Team Leader responsibilities

*Manage a multi-disciplinary team divided into squads working in an agile way which are aligned to products or feature which are customer facing.

*Managing the digital team to facilitate or directly feed into the future direction of this high functioning and self-organising team.

*Work with a team who are using the latest tech stack (Angular, .net CORE, ReactJS, React-Native) on a cloud platform using an agile delivery method.

*Team leader will be key in bringing people together to solve problems, understand any impediments that obstruct the team's delivery highlighted by scrum masters and support the team to resolve these.

*Helping to ensure that resource planning is completed and leading the recruitment of future talent for the team

*Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team where opportunities exist

*Develop internal teams and encouraging learning from others whether that be contractors or permanent team members.

Key Skills

*Proven track record of Team Leading within a large scale function, providing direction, development and influence for the delivery of high quality outputs.

*Understanding of resource planning and risk management

*Experience of setting clear and stretching targets for individuals and managing performance against them

*Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships within an organisation.

*Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

*Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, both technical and non-technical audiences.

*Ability to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
