We are passionate about training, technology and career development.The Role:This role is responsible for managing a Supplier Category in excess of £75m of spend per annum, being the face of the Supplier Category and supporting the Optimisation and Rationalisation programme for Suppliers in the Supplier Category that feeds in to the wider supplier Transformation Programme.The role will contribute to delivering the cost base target for supplier rationalisation, as well as identifying and nurturing strategic supplier alliances to ensure future success, whilst maximising commercial opportunities with suppliers within the supplier category.Key Responsibilities:Ownership of a supplier category (IT & Security)Accountable for the development of cost-based transformation plans & the optimisation of suppliers in the categoryCoordinate and evaluate opportunities and assess underlying risk, making recommendations on how to address opportunities.Work with Procurement, Operational teams & Finance to deliver cost saving opportunities against agreed plansResponsible for the delivery of cost savings over the short to medium termContribute to the delivery of contract commitment within cost targets, contract profit and revenue growth for a small subset of a larger contract or a subset of a small to medium sized contract(s).Contribute to the maintenance and development of customer relationships and satisfaction, ensuring delivery of commitments within service level agreements.Lead business change to deliver optimised supplier spendKey point of call for suppliers, and escalation point on both sides owning resolution of any partner disputes/escalations/issuesCommercial lead for supplier negotiations: create or sign-off the commercially acceptable position with suppliers, drafts & delivers negotiation strategies, exit plans etcLead on any ITTs relating to the suppliers within a particular category - inputs commercial assumptions into proposition's and solution the business cases and into bidsWork with the functional teams - in particular the sales channels, products and service - to make recommendations on supplier choices to maximise commercial opportunitiesDevelop and maintain governance proposal for suppliers within the supplier categoryManage the commercial terms in supplier contracts Essential Skills: You will have commercial experience within a B2B or B2C environment. This includes Profit and Loss management, business casing, complex analysis and modelling.Direct negotiations with Suppliers to deliver cost savings.Experience within an IT environment Desirable Skills:You will have experience managing senior internal and external stakeholdersYou will have demonstrated creative and innovative thinking to challenge the status quo.You will have experience in complex negotiationsYou will have deep knowledge of how Profit and Loss workYou will have attention to detail, being able to understand and navigate complex commercial constructs and legal contracts.
